Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

The KeniKen collection was born out of a great love and appreciation of the indigenous landscape of the Cape, the King Protea, our national flower being the most beloved of this vast floral kingdom.
The textile collection, available in a range of neutral colourways, includes napkins, table runners, tablecloths and tea towels, as well purses, wine carriers and multipurpose soft pots/ round holdalls that are ideal for pot plants and herbs.
Talented artist and ceramicist, Kendall is the creative director and maker of all things KeniKen and works from her studio in Hout Bay. Kendall personally hand draws all the designs and patterns and then converts them to screens and individually prints them onto panels of fabric.
The creative process begins with artisanal hand drawings inspired by the natural world. An emphasis is placed on clean, strong line work to reveal the soul of the subject matter. Linen products in the collection are screen printed onto 100% cotton to ensure quality and durability. Local and environmentally friendly water based inks are used in the printing process. Screen printing is a traditional printing technique where mesh attached to a frame is used to transfer ink onto a substrate. The ink is carefully pulled through the exposed areas of the mesh with a rubber squeegee to magically reveal the printed image. The fabric goes through a curing process and is then ready to be transformed into versatile everyday products bringing a unique South African flair to your home and lifestyle.
Should you require something to be custom made, KeniKen also offers this as an additional bespoke option depending on your requirements.
